Dr. Benedict Mkalama is a well-grounded professional with a unique blend of experience that ranges from academia, research and industry. He is a holder of a degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration from the University of Nairobi. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Oxford (UK) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Economics from Egerton University (Kenya). In addition to this, he has certified qualifications in Monitoring and Evaluation of Projects and Corporate Governance from chartered Universities in Kenya. He has over 25 years of working experience in senior leadership and management positions with international financial and local organisations in Africa. Some of these organisations included Standard Chartered Bank, Stanbic Bank and United Bank for Africa. With vast experience in commercial operations, his responsibilities ranged from guiding the organisations to design their strategic plans, implementation as well as tracking of the organisations’ annual operational activity plans and performance indicators. He is a member of the Institute of Directors (Kenya) and has over 15 years of cumulative experience on Boards of Directors/Management of different institutions. In addition to the CPF Financial Services, he also presently sits on the Council of the Lukenya University, Makueni (Kenya) as well as being the Chairman of the St. Stephen’s Bujwang’a Secondary School in Busia County (Kenya). A committed Christian, he actively serves as a member of the Catholic Men Association and his local Catholic Parish Pastoral Council. He is passionate about start-up entrepreneurship with varied interests across different sectors. His recent research interests have been in entrepreneurship and digital innovation with an emphasis on enterprise development.

Mr. Rono is a recipient of numerous awards including “Chief Investment Officer of the Year” Award at the 2017 Pension Awards. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA K) and holds a BSc. Mathematics and Computer from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture & Technology (JKUAT) and an MBA in Finance from the University of Nairobi.

Dr. Jedidah Karwitha Mwiti is a finance scholar, board director, and consultant with a strong track record in financial management, investment analysis, and governance. With over a decade of experience spanning academia, consulting, and board leadership, she brings a well-rounded perspective that bridges theory, practice, and policy.
At the core of her work is a commitment to using finance as a tool for sustainable growth, institutional strengthening, and economic empowerment.
Dr. Mwiti currently serves as a Lecturer at The Co-operative University of Kenya, where she teaches and mentors students in finance, accounting, and investment disciplines. Alongside her academic role, she works as an Associate Consultant, supporting organizations in research, financial analysis, strategy development, and policy formulation.
Her influence extends into governance and public service. She previously served as a Director at Consolidated Bank of Kenya Limited, where she contributed to strategic oversight and financial stewardship. Rose Mwaura is the Senior Policy MSMEs Advisor to the Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Cooperatives and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Development in Kenya. In her role, she provides strategic policy support and analysis, program coordination, performance management efficiency in order to drive the government’s vision of a vibrant Micro, Small and Medium Entreprises ecosystem as a pillar of Kenya’s economic transformation. With extensive organizational leadership and project management, Rose has contributed to initiatives that build institutional capacity, promote entrepreneurship, and empower communities economically. Her passion for sustainable development is reflected in her commitment to advancing inclusive growth and ensuring that Cooperatives and MSMEs play a central role in job creation, poverty alleviation, and social cohesion across the country. She is an accomplished Business Management Professional with a wealth of experience and a proven track record in membership management, sales and marketing, trade and manufacturing industry as well as total management of business operations. George is a Senior Pensions Professional with over 15 years’ experience in the establishment, management, and administration of Pension Schemes in Kenya and in the Africa region. George has gained considerable experience in pensions particularly in projects involving diagnostic reviews, developing pension policies, developing strategic restructuring plans, remuneration setting and administration and implementation of key pension policies.
He is Member of the Institute of Actuaries (UK) and holds a BSc. Degree in Mathematics & Computer Science from the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture & Technology (JKUAT) and an MSc in Actuarial Science from the University of Nairobi.
Christopher Mitei is a seasoned professional with 20 years of experience in the pension industry. He has extensive expertise in pension management, policy development, and strategic planning.
He holds an MBA in Strategic Management from the University of Nairobi and a BA in Economics and Business Studies from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Entrepreneurship and Project Management at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT).
Mr. Mitei is currently the Group Company Secretary and Head of Legal with CPF Financial Services. An Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, Isaac Mitei has over 12 years’ experience in the Legal field. He holds an Honors Law Degree from Moi University and a Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law.
Isaac is a member of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) and the Institute of Certified Secretaries of Kenya (ICPSK).
Irene is a Chartered Public Relations practitioner with 10 years’ experience in Corporate Communication and Public Affairs. She holds an MBA in Marketing from the University of Nairobi, a postgraduate diploma in Public Relations from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (UK) and an Executive Public Policy qualification from Strathmore University. Irene is a member of the Public Relation Society of Kenya (PRSK), a committee member of the Association of Pension Trustees & Administrators of Kenya (APTAK), a Standing Committee member of the Africa Social Security Association (ASSA) and serves as a Board member at the ASSA Institute of Social Protection (AISP).
Sospeter holds an MBA in Strategic Management and a BA. Economics & Sociology from the University of Nairobi. He is a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya CPA (K), a certified Risk Analyst (CRA), a certified Information System Auditor (CISA) and a Certified Change Management Practitioner (Prosci). Sospeter is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). Sospeter’s Risk experience spans over 12 years in Consultancy, Banking, Government and Pension.

A Certified Public Accountant of Kenya, Cornelius holds a MBA in Finance and a Bachelor of Arts degree (Accounting) both from the University of Nairobi.

Lucy holds an MBA in Human Resource Management from the University of Nairobi, a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Sociology & Economics Option) from Catholic University of Eastern Africa and a Higher National Diploma in Human Resource Management from the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM). She has over 13 years of comprehensive Human Resource Management experience and Administration. She is a full member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) and a Full Member of Kenya Institute of Management (KIM).
Timothy Wambui is a certified Portfolio Manager with over 15 years of experience in the finance and investment sector. Mr. Timothy currently serves as the group investment manager for CPF, a Financial Services company that offers Pension Funds Administration, Management Consulting, Corporate Training and development, Trust Fund Administration, and Agency Services, with interests in Real Estate, Insurance, and ICT and Renewable Energy.
Prior to joining CPF, Mr. Timothy served as the Head of Natbank Trustee and Investment Services Ltd where helped steer the company towards sustainable profitability and maximizing shareholder value. He has also served as a senior portfolio manager at Co-op Trust Investment Services Ltd. He holds a B. Comm in Finance from Kenyatta University and holds various portfolio management certificates from the New York Institute of Finance, a certificate of Trustee development from Humber College, and an International Certificate in Wealth Management from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investments.
Mr. Tony Olang, in a career spanning over 19 years in financial services, ICT and renewable energy sector has contributed significantly towards the adoption of technology for business processes in the region and more so for the CPF Group.
He holds an MSc in information System Security from the Universidad Empresarial de Costa Rica, a Postgraduate Diploma in Information Systems Security from the Cambridge Association of Managers as well as a BSc. in Computing from the University of Portsmouth. Mr. Olang was appointed at CPF Financial Services on 2/05/2014.
Mercy Thuo is the Executive Director of CPF Capital & Advisory Limited, a firm licensed by the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) to provide investment advisory and REIT management services. In this role, she leads strategic initiatives in capital markets, structured finance, and real estate investment, driving innovative financial solutions across multiple sectors
She also serves as the Group Head of Projects at CPF Group, where she oversees alternative investment initiatives, ensuring the development and execution of projects that align with the Group’s broader investment strategy. With over 15 years of experience in real estate, banking, and pensions, Mercy has played a key role in structuring and executing complex transactions. Her expertise spans real estate finance, alternative investments, and structured financial solutions, positioning her as a key figure in investment advisory and asset management.
Mercy has been appointed by the National Treasury to the Committee of Experts, tasked with exploring and recommending strategies for mobilizing long-term capital from local financial markets to fund Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects. She is also a member of the East Africa Advisory Board of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), a globally recognized authority that sets and enforces international standards in the built environment.
She holds a Master of Science in Real Estate from the UK and a Bachelor’s degree in Land Economics from the University of Nairobi. Mercy is a Chartered Valuer with RICS and a member of several professional bodies, including the Kenya Association of Stockbrokers and Investment Banks (KASIB) and the Project Management Institute of Kenya (PMI). Antony has over 10 years’ experience in valuation, investment appraisal, project management, feasibility studies, and corporate real estate services. Prior to joining Laser Property Services, he was the Regional Head of Property at Jubilee Insurance where he was responsible for providing strategic leadership in the investment, development, divestment, and management of properties within the Jubilee Insurance Group in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi, and Mauritius.Antony holds a first-class honours degree in Land Economics, and a master’s degree in Valuation and Property Management both from the University of Nairobi. He also holds a diploma in Business Management from the Association of Business Executives (UK) and a certification in entrepreneurship in emerging economies from Harvard University. He has also done an executive programme in circular economy and sustainability strategies at Cambridge Judge Business School.
Mr. Marucha holds an MBA in Strategic Management, Bachelor of Commerce (Insurance), a Diploma in Insurance from the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) and a Certificate in Life Assurance from LIC India. He is a trained director by the Center for Corporate Governance; a member of the Insurance Institute of Kenya (IIK) and a Board Member of the Insurance Brokers of Kenya (A.I.B.K). Jonathan is a multi-skilled insurance professional with over 14 years’ experience in business development, portfolio management, claims management, insurance regulatory compliance, risk assessment and valuation.
Joshua is a seasoned Finance Professional with over 20 years of experience in the finance and audit industry, known for his strong expertise in financial management, strategic planning, and internal controls. He has successfully led the development and implementation of robust financial systems, budget monitoring frameworks, and risk-based control mechanisms.
He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree, both from the University of Nairobi. He is also a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), the Institute of Certified Secretaries (ICS), the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).
CHRP Alphas Adoga Keverenge is the Director CPF Training and Consulting, with over 15 years of senior management experience in training, consultancy, and research. He has a proven track record in managing higher education training institutions, establishing and scaling consultancy practices, and driving institutional growth and transformation.
Alphas has held several senior leadership roles, including University Registrar (Academics), TVET Programmes Coordinator (Skills and Employability), and Deputy Principal & Head of Consultancy and Enterprise at the College of Human Resource Management-CHRM. He brings extensive expertise in training programme development, training needs assessment, consultancy services and the formulation, review, and execution of strategic plans. He is well-networked across both public and private sectors, enabling strong partnerships and impactful engagements.
He is currently pursuing a PhD in International Relations and Diplomacy. He holds both a master’s and bachelor’s degree in political science, Governance, and Public Administration. He is a Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP-K) and holds a National Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management and a Diploma in Education. Additionally, he has completed the Strategic Leadership Development Programme at the Kenya School of Government (KSG, and is currently pursuing the Certified Secretaries (CS) qualification.
