Mr. Maurice Nduranu has twenty plus years of work experience, over ten of which have been at senior management/leadership level in several world-class organizations. He has worked for one of the top public infrastructure consulting firms in the U.S. west, DPFG, one of the largest African investment bank/asset management firms, African Alliance, and the pioneer impact investment fund, Acumen. He has led experienced multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural teams in various sectors & geographies from structuring public infrastructure financing to managing public pension & deposit protection assets. He has also overseen and managed investments into businesses in the region ranging from agri-business to financial services and from manufacturing to retail.
Maurice graduated magna cum laude from the California State Polytechnic University at Pomona with a BSc in Business Administration - Finance, Real Estate, & Law. He also holds a Master of Financial Engineering degree from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. He is a member of the Institute of Directors, Kenya.
Mr. Russo is the Managing Director National Bank of Kenya (NBK), a subsidiary of KCB Group PLC, following his appointment in October 2019. He previously served as the Group Regional Business Director, KCB Group Plc. He has over 18 years of work experience spanning executive and key roles including group HR Director (KCB Group Plc), Receiver Manager (Chase Bank), Head of HR (Barclays Standard Services – Barclays Africa), Regional HR Head, and HR Change lead (Barclays Africa), Head of HR (Barclays Tanzania), Head of Human Capital (PwC), Chief HR officer (K-Rep Bank), HR Manager (Unga Holdings) and Acting Compensation and Benefits Manager (Kenya Breweries).
Paul holds an MBA from Strathmore University Business School and a Bachelor of Business Management from Moi University. He also holds a senior executive program for Africa Certificate from Harvard Business School and a Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management from the Institute of Human Resources (Kenya). Paul also serves as a director in the Boards of KCB Bank Uganda Limited, KCB Insurance Agency, and KCB Capital Limited.
Margaret is a lawyer by profession. She has worked with various organs in Government and for social protection administration locally and internationally. She was instrumental in setting up the East & Central Africa Social Security Association where she worked as Secretary-General. She was thereafter nominated as the Focal Point officer for a block of 10 Eastern African countries for the International Social Security Association, Geneva. She founded and currently runs a research firm specializing in diverse areas of labour law and social protection.
Margaret teaches and runs conferences and programmes related to her expertise in various parts of the world particularly for the International Labour Organization. Margaret also sits on the Council of Strathmore University, Nairobi, Kenya, where she chairs the Fundraising and External Relations Committee.
Joseph Rono is a Finance and Investments professional with over 15 years’ experience in private and public sectors within the East African region. His key areas of expertise include Strategy, finance, and Investments with a special interest in ICT, Strategy formulation, and implementation. Mr. Rono is a recipient of numerous awards including the “Chief Investment Officer of the Year” Award at the 2017 Pension Awards.
He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA K), holds a BSc. Mathematics and Computer from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture & Technology (JKUAT) and an MBA in Finance from the University of Nairobi. Mr. Rono was the recipient of the “Manager of the Year” award at the 2019 Company of the Year Awards.
Ms. Matilda Kimetto is a trade union leader and a strong defender of Labour rights. She is currently serving as the Deputy Secretary-General of Kenya County Government Workers Union after serving as the National Organizing Secretary. She is currently an employee of Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Co. Ltd, Human Resource and Administration Directorate. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Kenya Methodist University.
Hosea Kili, OGW
Group Managing Director/CEO
An advocate of the High Court of Kenya, Mr. Kili holds a Masters of Business Administration from the Management College of Southern Africa (MANCOSA). He is a Fellow of the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya (ICPSK); a Fellow Member of Kenya Institute of Management (KIM) and an active member of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK). Mr. Kili is a Council member and the current chairman of the East and Central Africa Social Security Association (ECASSA). He is a Non-Executive Director at the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) and the current president, Association of Pension Trustees Administrators of Kenya (APTAK). A recipient of numerous commendations, Mr. Kili was awarded the Presidential Order of Grand Warrior of Kenya in December 2011 and the 2nd Runners up CEO of the Year at the COYA Awards 2012.
He was also recognized as the Personality of the Year at the 2017 Pension Awards that sought to award excellence in innovation and service provision to improve the outcomes of both pension funds as well as members. Mr. Kili was also recognized as the 2nd Runners up in the ‘CEO of the Year’ category during the 2017 and 2018 Champions of Governance Awards. Mr. Kili currently serves as a member of the International Social Security Association (ISSA) bureau and a member of the Finance Committee of the ISSA, following his election to this post in 2019.
Dr. Benedict Mkalama
Dr. Benedict Mkalama is a well-rounded professional with a unique blend of experience that ranges from academia, research, and industry. He is a holder of a degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration from the University of Nairobi. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Oxford (UK) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Economics from Egerton University (Kenya). In addition to this, he has certified qualifications in the Monitoring and Evaluation of Projects and Corporate Governance from chartered Universities in Kenya.
He has over 25 years of working experience in senior leadership and management positions with international financial and local organizations in Africa. Some of these organizations included Standard Chartered Bank, Stanbic Bank, and United Bank for Africa. With vast experience in commercial operations, his responsibilities ranged from guiding the organizations to design their strategic plans, implementation as well as tracking of the organizations’ annual operational activity plans and performance indicators.
He is a member of the Institute of Directors (Kenya) and has over 15 years of cumulative experience on Boards of Directors/Management of different institutions. In addition to the CPF Financial Services, he also presently sits on the Council of the Lukenya University, Makueni (Kenya) as well as being the Chairman of the St. Stephen’s Bujwang’a Secondary School in Busia County (Kenya). He is passionate about start-up entrepreneurship with varied interests across different sectors. His recent research interests have been in entrepreneurship and digital innovation with an emphasis on enterprise development.
Isabel Juma is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K) who holds a BSc in Business Administration and an MBA in Finance. She is currently a Ph.D. (Business Administration – Finance) Candidate at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.
Isabel has over 15 years’ experience in Accounting and Finance, Tax, Strategy, Human Resource Management, and Procurement Management gained mainly in the Higher Education, Insurance, Financial Consultancy, and Manufacturing Sectors.
